If it is proven that Oprah's endorsement of Obama gets him the Democratic Presidential nomination to run in 2008, then I would have to conclude that the system the Democrats use to select their candidate is seriously broken.
If Obama gets elected President because of Oprah, then the American experiment of representative democracy has been undermined by the crass mass populism the Founding Fathers were wary of when they created the Electoral College.
