Kos Kidz Defend Barkin Arkin

Found this on Little Green Footballs.

It is very telling that the poster of this defense of Arkin slept through all his US Government and Civics classes. As Mike and I talked about in the comments section of my post about Arkin, these people think they 'own' the military.

It seems they take literally that old war song of 'Ours is not to reason why, ours is to do and die.' Which is basically a rewording of an old Roman phrase, 'We who are about to die, salute you!' Which should tell readers quite a bit of how antiquated the Kos Kidz' view of things is. We might as well be discussing any of the intercine wars that consumed Europe as imperial rulers sent out their soldiers as cannon fodder because they decreed such. This Kos Kid wants the US military to be voiceless drones who will meekly accept abuse.

Kipling still has the corner on describing what our soldiers are enduring.

I went into a public-'ouse to get a pint o'beer,
The publican 'e up an' sez, "We serve no red-coats here."
The girls be'ind the bar they laughed an' giggled fit to die,
I outs into the street again an' to myself sez I:

O it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Tommy, go away";

But it's ``Thank you, Mister Atkins,'' when the band begins to play,
The band begins to play, my boys, the band begins to play,
O it's ``Thank you, Mr. Atkins,'' when the band begins to play.

I went into a theatre as sober as could be,
They gave a drunk civilian room, but 'adn't none for me;
They sent me to the gallery or round the music-'alls,
But when it comes to fightin', Lord! they'll shove me in the stalls!

For it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Tommy, wait outside";
But it's "Special train for Atkins" when the trooper's on the tide,
The troopship's on the tide, my boys, the troopship's on the tide,
O it's "Special train for Atkins" when the trooper's on the tide.

Yes, makin' mock o' uniforms that guard you while you sleep
Is cheaper than them uniforms, an' they're starvation cheap;
An' hustlin' drunken soldiers when they're goin' large a bit
Is five times better business than paradin' in full kit.

Then it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Tommy how's yer soul?"
But it's "Thin red line of 'eroes" when the drums begin to roll,
The drums begin to roll, my boys, the drums begin to roll,
O it's "Thin red line of 'eroes" when the drums begin to roll.

We aren't no thin red 'eroes, nor we aren't no blackguards too,
But single men in barricks, most remarkable like you;
An' if sometimes our conduck isn't all your fancy paints:
Why, single men in barricks don't grow into plaster saints;

While it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Tommy, fall be'ind,"
But it's "Please to walk in front, sir," when there's trouble in the wind,
There's trouble in the wind, my boys, there's trouble in the wind,
O it's "Please to walk in front, sir," when there's trouble in the wind.

You talk o' better food for us, an' schools, an' fires an' all:
We'll wait for extry rations if you treat us rational.
Don't mess about the cook-room slops, but prove it to our face
The Widow's Uniform is not the soldier-man's disgrace.

For it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Chuck him out, the brute!"
But it's "Saviour of 'is country," when the guns begin to shoot;
An' it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' anything you please;
But Tommy ain't a bloomin' fool - you bet that Tommy sees!

Alas for Arkin and those who support him, when the guns begin to boom it will probably to late for them to realize how badly in error they are.

I don't even know that if Islamists invaded with tanks from Mexico or Canada that the pacifist, military hating appeasing weanies would want us to defend ourselves.

I heard some loon on the radio saying that we should never defend ourselves, that killing was wrong even if we are killed. Neville Chamberlain was his hero and I doubt it bothered him 60 million people were killed and the planet scarred forever because of that stupidity.

Then of course there's the other branch of that tree of idiocy who suggest that we deserve to get attacked because of X, Y or Z.

I'd like to ask one of those who blame US foreign policy what excuse they have for Islamists who kill Buddhist monks in Thailand by the thousands.

Are all those Buddhists tools of the Zionist Imperial conspriracy too?

The hotter the rheotric, the more profane the words, the more shrill the voice just proves how little some have in the brain pan.

The 60 million dead in WWII do not bother them since it never happened to them. They are truly narcissitic belly-button gazers who think the world revolves around them while they ingest the lotus drug of choice, willful ingorance.
