Just when it seemed a joint US/French proposal at the UN to bring to heel Israel's vivisection of Hezbollah was on the cusp of success, the Arab states manage to scuttle it and France sides with them.
Sacre bleau! These guys never learn. Diplomacy is getting half the cake you want and thinking you got it all. What France and others are practicing is either we get the whole cake or we walk away.
In this case, please keep walking you fools. Just giving Israel that much more time to zip in, zing Hezbollah, capture/kill more of their thugs, and erode the infrastructure that was built in southern Lebanon over the past six years while UNIFIL and Lebanon did nothing.

They have to know that the U.S. is NOT going to back a ceasefire without a force with TEETH to solve the problem.
