F-15E 91-326 with speed-brake deployed landing in 2006.At approximately 2130Zulu 21 Mar 2011, an F-15E from the 48th FW based at RAF Lakenheath, like the one pictured above, and flying from Aviano AB Italy went down during a mission to support Operation Odyssey Dawn. The aircraft apparently suffered some kind of malfunction over nothern Libya. The two man crew ejected safely and have been rescued.
