The news coming from Japan seems to be getting worse every minute. Larry Kudlow and his callous comment of "The human toll here looks to be much worse than the economic toll, and we can be grateful for that" is turning out to be wrong on so many different fronts. The country is dealing with rolling blackouts, fearful of an aftershock, running short on food and water, factories are shut down, thousands still missing, the Nikkei falling, and now Fukushima #1 is getting worse.
There has been some good news admist all this tragedy. A baby was found still alive three days after the earthquake. A 60yr old man was found adrift 15Km from shore on the roof of his house. And an elderly woman was found trapped in the rubble alive and she is now at a hospital.
But there is so much to do in Japan. If you have not contacted places like the Salvation Army or Red Cross by now, do so. Japan needs all the help it can. Nissin can't produce all the Cup o'Noodles it needs, might want to call the relief agencies and see if they will take ramen.
