USS Arizona Memorial

View from the deck of USS Missouri, berthed where USS Nevada was moored on Dec 7th, 1941. This is looking out to where the sailors would have seen Kate torpedo bombers swooping in to line up and drop their modified torpedoes. Nevada worked up steam and tried to escape Pearl Harbor, by the crews' courageous action many Japanese planes were drawn off in an attempt to sink Nevada and block the channel. USS Nevada would later beach herself at Hospital Point.
