The Young Barry Obama

For your listening pleasure, a college friend of young Barry Obama recalls his conversations with the future president. A dialog between a moderate Marxist and a pure Marxist.

Historical background for December 1980. The US economy was dealing with staggering inflation. Americans were still being held hostage in the US Embassy in Tehran, Iran. James Earl Carter had just lost his bid for re-election to Ronald Wilson Reagan. The Soviet Union had invaded Afghanistan to prop up a Marxist ally. John Lennon had been murdered. And the United Nations had established a University for Peace. Bear all this in mind as you listen to this interview.

This makes a fine bookend to my previous post called the Office of Diminshed Gravitas. Thanks Karagush for finding this.
