How have we gotten to such a nadir of respect for the office of the President of the United States that a guy will streak in front of the president at a political rally? How indeed, let us count the ways.
Could it be the fits of pique and pettiness that has lead the Obama Administration to declare war on Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Karl Rove, John Boehner, and now the US Chamber of Commerce?
Perhaps President Obama should not have shown how thin-skinned he was when he fired Gen. McChrystal for accidentally venting some frustration in front of a reporter.
Could it be the 52 games of golf the president has played while unemployment holds steady at 9.6%?
Or the pictures of the president with his feet propped up on the desk in the Oval Office?
Maybe it was his haming it up on a nationally syndicated coffee-clatch show called The View?
