No Chicago in 2016

The city of Chicago was eliminated in the first round of selection to see who will host the 2016 Olympics. Tokyo was also eliminated, leaving just Madrid and Rio to vie for who will host the big event. Lets hope Rio wins the next round.

On the plus side, for the first time President Obama managed to fit in some face time with his Afghanistan commander General McChrystal. Both had only met electronically in two video teleconferences. McChrystal was recently in London giving a speech on the war in Afghanistan and President Obama had been in Copenhagen to lobby for Chicago in front of the International Olympic Committee.

For continued tracking of the voting, please head over to the BBC sports live blog.

Yes he can't RAPH. Rio had the better package to win with. Go Rio!
