Rachel, I hear you. I foolishly opened my mail today, it was a statement on my 401k. It said I have lost 16% of my investment. Should not have opened it.
And if the Obama Administration does not wise up fast, it will keep on sinking. Gloom in the markets begets more gloom unless someone is there showing there is a real way out.

They're both tanking or bombing out.
Tom at this point, is there a difference between the two? I can no longer tell the difference as both seem to keep going south.
