McCain Picks Palin and the Fans go Wild

I guess this is why the Obama/Biden campaign are fearful of Gov. Sarah Palin being Sen. McCain's pick for Vice President.
Conan quotes spring to mind:
"To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of the Democrats."

In all seriousness, Gov. Palin is everything Democrats have been pushing for with their agendas. But because she is a Republican, the Democrats must oppose her in order to support their naked grab for power. In one brilliant stroke, McCain has hoisted the Democrats upon a petard of their making. From the knee-jerk attack from Obama's communications flack about Palin being a no-nothing from a small town to even more vile attacks from supposed enlightened progressives who are viciously besmirching Palin's qualifications for being a mother because she just gave birth to a baby with Downs Syndrome and is still a politician. Unless the Democrats take the high-road as Obama belatedly did when he praised McCain for selecting Palin, they will succeed in alienating many they are counting on to vote for them.

The election this November is becoming even more stark and easy to make. The voters can select a ticket that is lead by an august and experienced leader who now has a talented lieutenant. Or they can vote for a ticket lead by an untested youth buttressed by a vain professional politician, neither of whom have done anything heroic or of note outside of politics.

In closing I have this to say to the Democrats: Whoops, stinks to be you.

You make a good point in that if liberals keep attacking Palin it may just help drive more disgruntled Hillary supporters to vote for her.
