Georgian forces of 2000 in Iraq, as part of the US lead coalition, have been called back to help defend their homeland from a hamfisted Chechnya style response from Vladimir Putin's Russia.
Perhaps Ukraine closing its ports to the Russian Black Sea Fleet will make Russia reconsider. Or those other small countries who have allied with Georgia might sway the rampant Russian bear. Maybe the US being willing to fly these Georgian soldiers home will stop this. Or perhaps all of this combined will make Putin stop. Lets just hope it does stop before more die.
To those Georgian soldiers leaving one dangerous land for a war torn homeland. Thank you for your service in Iraq and may peace come to your homeland.
