Hero

I accidentally or serendipitously stumbled across this story. Or perhaps I was 'meant' to find it.

SSG Timothy Hahn, assigned to the 563d Maint. Sq. at Davis-Monthan AFB, was spending some of his time off with friends this past Saturday at the Sabino Canyon Recreation Area when a flash flood struck. Swept away in the swirling water was Angela Knoche. Without thinking of himself or his three year old daughter, Hahn leapt into the water and tried to rescue Angela Knoche. Alas the currents were stronger than this young man's strength and courage, both young people were killed. There is a memorial planned for Wednesday for this brave man and Angela Knoche.

News story.

In desperate times like this, sometimes G_d needs to call home some special ones to fill the ranks of His angels.

G_d bless, young soldier

Amen, amen. What a fine person who will be sorely missed.

This is the can-do heroism that has made this country great.

Like the firefighters who went into the burning World Trade Center Towers, this brave man didn't think of the danger. He just did the right thing.

SSG Hahn knew what had to be done and did it. Unlike some other zeros who are in the limelight.

America is great because of heros like Hahn. Lets never forget them.
