Gathering of Eagles

17 March 2007 jump off time is almost here. A time when heroes and the families of heroes gather in Washington DC to stand proud, stand to be counted, and to serve notice that the likes of Hanoi Jane Fonda do not speak for them.

The Gathering of Eagles web-site has had to shutdown registration because the site has been swamped by vile language and even threats of violence. These have come from the peace crowd that plans to march on the Pentagon on March 17th. Some peace, their peace is that of intimidation; their tactics are the same tactics Lenin used to destroy Kerensky's government and seize control of Russia. These are the tactics of the tyrant, not the tactics of those who truly love democracy.

The true lovers of democracy will be those guarding the Wall, the Korean Memorial, the World War II Memorial, and the other symbols of American bravery and sacrifice from these tools of tyranny. Stand tall and keep the faith. Know there are many who can not attend who support you in spirit and word.

"Don't Tread On Me!" still rings true more than 200 years later.

"Peace" activists threatening violence? Sure says something about their kind of "peace" doesn't it?

And get this: Some lefty loon at Cajun Tiger was insisting that the Gathering of Eagles was an attempt to curtail his freedom of speech.

This from the same crowd who hacked the Gathering's web site to shut it down and deprive the Eagles of the same speech lefties reserve only for themselves.

And they call US fascists?

Exactly Mike. Which is why I compared them to the thugs Lenin used to scare off the moderates when Kerensky tried to create a democratic government in the wake of the Tsar being toppled.

Thanks for the link, Anna! I hope all goes well and there is no violence. I know those guarding the sanctity of the memorials will not incite it, but it doesn't take much for those "protesting" to lose their cool and jump someone.

Thanks Dee. I am glad it was such a victory for the no more silent majority. :)
