South Dakota Sen. Tim Johnson[D] might have suffered a stroke today. He is presently in George Washington University Hospital. Earlier in the day during a telephone interview it seemed Johnson became disoriented, started to stutter, and then recovered.
Hopefully whatever happened can be treated and Johnson makes a full recovery. If South Dakota has to declare that Johnson's seat is vacant, it will fall upon Governor Mike Rounds to appoint a replacement. Since Rounds is a Republican, it could make the Senate a 50-50 proposition.
Lets keep the prayers going for a recovery.
