Well our old 'friend' in Libya wants to erect a statue of a hanging Saddam. No word if they will build one for hanging chads though. *rim-shot*
It still rankles how much a farce the execution was.
It may seem to some that Saddam got the Mussolini treatment. Except Saddam got an actual trial in a court of law empowered by a popularly elected government, a court that found him guilty, and then sentenced him to death. And not shot by a communist people's court and then strung up like Mussolini and his mistress.
I just hope the Iraqi people learn from this whole event.
