John Paul the Great

It is hard to beleive that one year has already passed since Pope John Paul II passed away and Cardinal Ratzinger became Pope Benedict XVI. John Paul II's imapct is still being felt across the globe in the efforts of the Catholic Church and the new directions Pope Benedict XVI is taking the Church seems to bode well for the future.

I was amazed at the nice one hour documentary CNN ran last night on the Pope's death, the election of Benedict[including gaffes with the stove and Vatican bells], and the process of canonizing John Paul II. Rest in peace Papa for you are missed by many.

Heartily agreed, Anna.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

What I find interesting is how the Catholic Church goes about verifying miracles. At Lourdes and in the cases of beatification and canonization that lead to sainthood. The Church uses science to discern true miracles.

Now if we could get politicians to actually use science, that would be a true miracle.
