Japan Declares War on South Korea

That could be in the near future as the two countries squabble over some rocky islands that lay between them. Japan is sending survey ships to the islands while South Korea wants to give Korean names to areas around the islands at an upcoming conference. The area abounds in fish and possible energy resources. So stay tuned.

For a historical perspective. The bad blood between Koreans and Japanese is extreme. You never call a Korean a Japanese or vice versa, if you do expect to get punched at least. The Japanese during the first half of the 20th Century were brutal overlords of the Koreans.

Hmmm, wonder if Kim Jung Il would get involved in that...maybe hoping to use Japan to take over South Korea! Wouldn't that just be a fun situation...NOT!

Definately unfun as the South Koreans, Japanese, and Americans caught in the middle would have to turn around to smack Kim down as he drove on Seoul.

I hope the two countries can work something out but they are still smarting over that occupation along with the use of Korean women as comfort girls in WWII by the Japanese military.
