At 2200 GMT, Islamic fundamentalists attacked the resort of Sharm-al-Sheikh in a series of three bomb blasts. At least 83 people are dead, most Egyptian along with some tourists. Last October there were other attacks at Red Sea resorts that killed 34 people. And there was the attack in 1997 at Luxor that killed 62 people, all but four were tourists. The timing of this last attack is also a clue, on the anniversary of the Egyptian Revolution; the rise of Nasser as President of Egypt, which is a not subtle hint that another revolution is what these murderers want. Someone toss the Muslim Brotherhood ASAP.
I have seen people complain about President Hosni Mubarak and his iron-fisted rule of a secular Egypt. Better him in charge than these murderers. President Sadat learned the hard way when he was assassinated by members of the Egyptian military that one can not be soft with dissent. It is a tightrope Mubarak and Egypt walks as these attacks target one of Egypt's largest industries, tourism.
For those who may think we should respect the worldview of the killers, I offer you this to think on. If fundamentalists like the Taliban gain power in Egypt then we had better expect Taliban style tolerance of other cultures. In other words anything prior to Islam sweeping into Egypt like Luxor, Thebes, Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens will be deemed pagan and destroyed like those giant Buddhas were in Afghanistan. It would be interesting to see them try to blow up the pyramids like those Buddhas. Something to think on as we offer our sympathies for those killed in this latest attack by cowards.
Postscript: The irony of the Talibanic zeal to destroy those Buddhas in Afganistan is that the most holy symbol in Islam, the focus of the Hajj and of worship in general, is in fact a pagan object of veneration that was appropriated when the Prophet was finally able to conquer Mecca. What am I talking about, why the Ka'aba which houses a meteorite called Hajr-e-Aswad. So if the Taliban had existed when the Prophet had taken Mecca then the Hajr-e-Aswad would probably have been shattered as a pagan image. Something to think on.

Probably never since he has never owned up to allowing Mary Jo to drown.
And he can keep denying such truths as long as there are better people willing to defend/die the way of life he takes for granted.
