Rep. Steve Cohen should know better. The word NAZI is a contraction of National Socialism. What is the health care bill that was passed last year that totaled more than 2,000 pages that shifted 1/6th of the national economy under more federal control but a socialist objective. To use the inflammatory term to describe the Republicans who are fighting to give back to citizens their right to choose their health care is terribly wrong. It is very corrosive to any kind of discussion to drag such an ugly word with its connections to the murder of 6,000,000 Jews and another 5,500,000 political prisoners.
Please Rep. Cohen be unambiguous and say "I am sorry," and not you were "misunderstood." To hide behind that word is to abuse the English language and insult the intelligence of people you think are not as smart as you. You are a coward sir to use such a weasel word that insults people who are offended, especially after calling on people to tone down rhetoric last week.

Funny how Dems like Cohen who accuse the GOP of using the Big Lie are such masters of that art themselves.
All we have to do is look at the damage done to Sarah Palin and conservatives in the wake of demonstrably FALSE accusations that we somehow motivated the Tucson shooter.
They do seem to be a party of knee-jerk reactions. The default reaction being destroy, destroy, destroy. Hard to create a viable future upon corpses but it seems they keep trying from Stalin to Mao to Pol Pot.
