The slain family of Dr. Petit are closer to being at rest tonight. Hayes has been convicted on 16 of 17 counts. Jurors were not sure if he was the monster who lit the match that set the house afire. They did agree he was the monster who raped and killed Jennifer and her two daughters. Hayes now awaits the juror decision on life in prison or death. Meanwhile Hayes partner in horror still awaits his day in the docket. May justice be served in his case also.
