More Empty Words

So much for the soaring rhetoric of allowing the US judicial system treat foreign nationals with all the rights of US citizens. So much for the promises of justice. So much for placing any faith or hope that President Obama means the words he mouths from his teleprompters.

How can I say this? Very easy when it comes to the terrorists who daily plot to maim and kill those who are unbelivers. Or in the case of the attack on USS Cole in Yemen, the one who already did plot to kill and maim. In this case US Navy crew, citizens of this country, murdered. It has now emerged that the promises President Obama gave to the families and survivors of the USS Cole attack were indeed empty ones. This administration does not plan to prosecute the mastermind, Abd al-Rashim al-Nashiri.

the Justice Department said that "no charges are either pending or contemplated with respect to al-Nashiri in the near future."

Justice delayed is justice denied. As we gear up to mark the 9th anniversary of the attacks on the Twin Towers and the Pentagon, remember it has been 10 years since the USS Cole was attacked and almost sank.
