What is History?

If you are Google, December 7th was just another day. Now December 8th got them excited so they changed their home-page image to celebrate the birthday of the creator of Popeye the Sailor.

What a travesty and a joke when you have real sailors like Lt. John William Finn who earned the Medal of Honor on December 7, 1941 at a place called Pearl Harbor. How sharper than a serpent's tooth is Google's collective ingratitude.

Google has a habit of ignoring American memorial days. Interestingly enough, it will sometimes highlight Canadian memorials days because we share home search engines. Google has other oddities. It will not spell prompt skeptical global warming searches, nor direct searchers to such sites. This has been enabled and then disabled lending belief to the theory that a single group of employees are trying to influence searches. There is no doubt that Google believes itself to be an International citizen and not an American company. It does not share American values, frequently allowing censorship of searches for foreign governments and censoring its own search results in America and Canada.

I've quit using google. I'm using bing at the moment but I'm open to another search engine.

For an organisation that purports to do no harm, they have done much harm with their actions.
