It is a problem but since it does not affect them personally they think they can ignore it and the people who are suffering. Being a leftist means never having to say you are sorry for being a self-absorbed twit.
As for Senator Harry Reid who thinks he is displaying leadership qualities by trying to extort from President Bush a surrender and retreat; the only path to victory is by driving a bayonet through your enemy's heart, not by adopting the French method of foreign policy.

Next week should be interesting.
Very interesting as to the 'seriousness' they treat General Petraeus's briefing.
I expect them to have scheduling conflicts. Or if they attend, before the full transript is published; Pelosi and Reid will have twisted the briefing to support running away.
