"Robots in Disguise!" Lots of us remember that theme song as Optimus Prime and his team took on the evil Decepticons. Well Steven Spielberg and Michael Bey, this July 4th weekend, are bringing to the theatres a live action Transformers movie.
Looks mega intense doesn't it? Just wish they spent a bit more time making sure the real machines were accurate. Currently the US flies MH-53J/M Pave Lows, no MH-3s, in low-visibility paint so that air traffic controller got it wrong. And look at the barrels of the 120mm cannons as that tank goes flying by. The bore evacuator of the M256 is too long. And the cool looking jet fighter flying between the sykscrapers? Perhaps its a Northrop YF-23 which lost to the F-22? Unless Spielberg and Bey are paying homage to Macross Plus, a completely unrelated anime that had a prototype Veritech fighter that looked like the YF-23.
But hey they got Optimus Prime and BumbleBee in the film. :)
