'High thoughts must have high language.' - Aristophanes. Well that excludes Ted Kennedy and Joe Biden.
'This shows how much easier it is to be critical than to be correct.' - Benjamin Disraeli. This sums up the past six years from the Democratic Party leaders.
'Delays have dangerous ends.' - William Shakespeare. Sounds like the new Democrat controlled Congress and its desire to thwart the war effort.
'Nothing ever becomes real till it is experienced - even a proverb is no proverb till your life has illustrated it.' - John Keats. Unfortunately 911 has happened and some people still do not think people like Amadjihadi and Osama bint Laden are dangerous.
'Lead me from the unreal to the real!' - The Upanishads. What many are wishing to happen as the Democrats stumble through their first '100 hours' in charge.
'What we anticipate seldom occurs; what we least expect generally happens.' - Benjamin Disraeli. Put this one up in 20 meter neon letters in front of Congress. Maybe all those politcians and bureaucrats will finally get the message.
'For every problem there is one solution which is simple, neat, and wrong.' - H. L. Mencken. Democrats answer to resolving the war in Iraq, pull out like the US did in 1975. Raise the minimum wage so it is more expensive for busniesses to operate and more costly for the consumer to buy things. Raise taxes to 'soak the rich' so in turn the rich hire creative accountants to protect the money and lobbyists to protect their assets by buying politicians so in the end even less money goes to government coffers thus increasing the defecit if spending is not curtailed like the Democrats botching of earmark reform has demonstrated a lack of good faith in this regard.
