The defense rests your Honour

Johnnie Cochran, dead at age 67.

Mr. Cochran was an exceedingly talented man who laboured to defend his clients to the best of his ability. Whether some of it was justified, only time will tell. Lets honour a self-made man who fully utilized his talents.

Some would argue he aquitted OJ with theatrics. But be honest, would you prefer to err on the side of caution when talking about a person's life only to find out later they were quilty or rush to judgement without due deliberation and then find out many years later an innocent person suffered?

I will end with what Increase Mather said during the Salem Witch Hysteria that caused far too many innocents to die at the hands of their spiteful neighbors:
...were better that ten suspected witches should escape than one innocent person should be condemned.
